As I was reading the news this morning, I couldn't understand why in the world the FBI would move in so quickly on the Illinois governor trying to sell Obama's vacated Senate seat. Apparently Obama had already offered a cushy job for the Governor's wife. The offer wasn't high enough to satisfy.
Did the FBI move in before Obama was able to make a winning bid?
Remember Fitzgerald, the guy who threw the hammer here was the same one that let the net on the Plame non-case drag for 2 years until Scooter Libby was tripped up. Why the quick trigger this time, Pat?
